Israeli forces arrested 20 Palestinians during raids in the West Bank where they also stormed a local television station and seized broadcast equipment, Palestinian sources said Wednesday.

Israel Radio reported that some 20 Palestinians wanted by Israel's intelligence and security services were arrested in different areas of the West Bank.

Meanwhile, a television station, Watan, stopped broadcasting after soldiers seized its transmission amplifiers, computers and files, said its director Muammar Orabi.

There has been no Israeli comment on raiding the television's headquarters, the second such incident in 10 years.

The Israeli army operates in the Palestinian-controlled parts of the West Bank on a daily basis, saying that the operations target wanted activists.
