Two Israeli planes arrived at the Cairo International Airport on Wednesday to carry the Israeli embassy's equipment back to Tel Aviv, the website of Egypt's official Al-Ahram newspaper quoted an airport source as saying.
The two planes will transfer two containers, the source said.
Israel evacuated its embassy staff in September 2011 after Egyptian protestors stormed the building.
The new Israeli ambassador to Egypt, Yaakov Amitai, arrived in Cairo to start his mission in December, but he travels home at weekends. |
