Dozens of Jordanians staged a sit-in Thursday and called for the closure of the Israeli embassy in Amman.
The demonstrators, including young groups and activists, held the sit-in near the Israeli embassy, where they called for expelling the Israeli ambassador from Amman.
The demonstrators burnt Israeli and American flags during the sit-in.
They called for resisting the Israeli occupation and voiced support for the Palestinians' struggle.
Jordan and Israel signed the Wadi Araba Peace Treaty in 1994. |
