Iran not to withdraw from its nuclear rights in upcoming talks with P5+1
Last Updated(Beijing Time):2012-04-10 23:26

A senior Iranian lawmaker said Tuesday that Tehran will not withdraw from its nuclear rights in the upcoming talks with the UN Security Council's five permanent members plus Germany (P5+1), the local satellite Press TV reported.

Kazem Jalali, the rapporteur of Iran's Majlis (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said that Iran will not accept any preconditions nor will it negotiate over any of its nuclear rights.

Negotiations will be successful only if Iran's nuclear rights are officially recognized, Jalali said.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday that Iran will defend its rights and will never allow anyone to forfeit its rights.

Ahmadinejad made the remarks in the Iranian southern port city of Bandar Abbas referring to the Western pressures over Iran's controversial nuclear program.

The Iranian's words came just a few days ahead of the nuclear talks between Iran and the P5+1 slated for April 14 in Turkey's Istanbul.
