The majority of Iran's Majlis ( parliament) lawmakers have voiced support for the Syrian government and nation, Press TV reported on Sunday.
In a statement issued by 245 Majlis lawmakers on Sunday, the Iranian legislators voiced support for the reform process in Syria and any democratic solution that promotes public participation in the Arab state and called on the Syrian nation and government to " cut the hands of the meddlers," said the report.
The lawmakers expressed their satisfaction that "the foreign interventions and plots hatched by the U.S., Israel and Western powers against Syria as well as by some regional states" for the " extremist terrorist" groups in the country have ended in failure.
The lawmakers said that such interference are aimed at propping up Israel.
Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem said in Tehran on Sunday for talks with senior Iranian officials. |
