Jordan condemns Israelis for breaking into Aqsa Mosque |

Jordan on Wednesday condemned radical Israeli settlers who broke into the yards of Al Aqsa Mosque, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
Jordan's Minister of State for Communications and Media Affairs Samih Maaytah was quoted as saying in a statement that the act starkly violated international laws, conventions and humanitarian laws.
He called on Israel to protect places of worship and to prevent any attempts to tamper with these sacred sites, holding it accountable for breaking into Al Aqsa Mosque by a group of radical Israelis Wednesday.
The minister also urged the international community and NGOs to exerts efforts to put an end to these acts by radical Israelis and to protect the sacred Islamic and Christian sites in Jerusalem. |
