Last Updated(Beijing Time):2012-11-15 18:36

An Israeli drone fired a missile at a group of Palestinians Thursday, killing two and wounding the third in northern the Gaza Strip, medical sources and witnesses said.

The last Israeli strike, which took place at noon, put the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks here since Wednesday to 13.

The dead and the wounded were taken to Kamal Adwan hospital near Jabaliya refugee camp.

Security sources identified the dead as Rami Hamad and Khalid Abu Nasser, saying they are members of Ezz el-Deen al-Qassam, the military wing of Islamic Hamas movement, which controls Gaza.

The violence flared up when Israeli airplanes hit a car traveling in Gaza City Wednesday afternoon, killing Ahmed al- Jaabari, the head of the Hamas brigade and his escort. Meanwhile, three people, including a young girl, were wounded in an Israeli strike that targeted an open space to the east of Gaza City.

The Health Ministry in Gaza said at least 70 Palestinians were wounded, including 15 children and 18 women. There are six civilians among the dead, including a one-month-old toddler and two girls aged seven and 20.

Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip continues for another day Thursday. On the other hand, Palestinian militant groups kept firing barrages of rockets out of Gaza, targeting southern Israel communities, where Israeli media reported a number of casualties in the morning.
