A shell from Israeli side fell into the Egyptian territory in the Governorate of North Sinai by mistake on Monday, local eyewitnesses told Xinhua.
The shell fell in a desert area in south of Rafah Crossing, which is adjacent with southern Israel and Gaza Strip, did not break out or cause any casualties.
The incident was occurred during an escalation of conflict between Israel and the Gaza Strip.
A rocket fell into the Egyptian territory for the first time in south of Rafah Crossing by mistake Thursday afternoon since conflict erupted recently between Israel and the Gaza Strip.
