Indians wishing to visit Iran for tourism and pilgrimage purposes can obtain two-week visas upon arrival at the Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran and the Shaheed Hasheminejad International Airport in Iran's northeastern Mashhad city, official IRNA news agency reported Wednesday.

Currently, the Indian businessmen obtain visas at the international airports of the Islamic republic after going through simple formalities such as being recognized by their Iranian business partners at the airports, according to the report.

Every year, an average of 14,000 Indians obtain Iranian visas from the embassy of the Islamic republic in New Delhi and its consulates at Hyderabad and Mumbai.
