Indonesian palm oil producer association (GAPKI) predicts the country's palm oil exports is going to rise this year as production and global demand increases, local media reported Wednesday.
The association expected the exports were going to increase from 17.5 million tons to 18 million tons this year from last year 's expectation of 16.5 million tons, Fadhil Hasan, director executive of the association, was quoted by Bisnis Indonesia online as saying.
The government has kept export taxes for palm oil unchanged at 15 percent for January. The export tax is aimed at securing domestic supply, stabilizing cooking oil prices and boosting downstream industry. |
