Ukraine's industrial production advanced 2 percent year-on-year in January, boosted by the expansion of the machine building sector, the State Statistics Service said Thursday.
However, the country's monthly industrial output in January was down 12.7 percent from a month earlier, the agency said in a report, adding the decline was a normal seasonal trend.
In 2011, Ukraine's industrial output growth decelerated to 7.3 percent growth year-on-year but the government expects this climb again to 8.3 percent this year. |
