South Korea's trade balance posted a surplus of 2.15 billion U.S. dollars last month despite reducing exports that were offset by falling imports, a government report showed Tuesday.
Trade surplus reached 2.15 billion dollars in April, down from a surplus of 2.45 billion dollars tallied in the previous month, according to the report by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy.
Exports contracted 4.7 percent on-year to 46.24 billion dollars in April, while imports fell 0.2 percent to 44.11 billion dollars over the cited period. |
