The Japanese trading company, Marubeni Corp., said Tuesday that it will fully acquire U.S.-based commodities trader Gavilon Holdings LLC in September.
Gavilon was based in Nebraska. It trades in grain, fertilizers and energy sources mainly in North America.
The acquiring will allow Marubeni to expand its annual global grain transactions from its current target of 25 million tons to more than 55 million tons for fiscal year of 2012, according to local media citing the major Japanese trading house. |
