French industrial production remains stable in June |

Industrial output inFrancewas stable in June after losing ground a month earlier, national statistics bureau Insee said on Friday.
After decreasing by 1.1 percent in May, manufacturing activity remained unchanged in June with coke and refined petroleum products registering a 13.6 percent rise as a refinery resumed production in mid-June, according to Insee's monthly data.
Transport sector output fell 1.7 percent, driven down by a 3-percent fall in auto manufacturing.
Mining and energy production was down 0.8 percent while construction activities reported a positive trend with an increase of 0.7 percent over the period.
Quarterly figures showed a 0.6-percent decrease in the country's industrial production in the second quarter of 2012 with manufacturing output falling by 1.2 percent. |
