The U.S. aviation heavyweight Boeing announced Wednesday pocketing an order of 30 medium-haul 737 MAX from airplane leasing company CIT Aerospace at the Paris Air Show.

The new order came just one day after the giant American manufacture got commitments for 102 airplanes from five customers across Europe, Asia and North America and two days after Boeing announced the sale of 737 MAX to SkyMark Airlines and TUI Travel at the week-long world's top air show.

This new order worth of 3 billion U.S. dollars includes 10 new aircraft and the conversion of 20 existing 737 orders, confirmed CIT.

The 737 MAX is a fuel-efficient plane in the single-aisle market. It will take its first flight in 2016 and be delivered to customers in the fourth quarter of 2017, Boeing said.

The 737 MAX has accumulated more than 1,000 orders and commitments from 16 customers worldwide since its launch on August 30, 2011.

U.S airplane leaser CIT owned or financed a fleet of about 350 commercial aircraft, including operating lease and financing agreements in place for 128 Boeing aircraft.
