Nepal's pioneer industrialist Binod Chaudhary, who was named as Nepal's first billionaire last year, has for the first time featured in the new Hurun Global Rich List 2014, a billionaire list compiled by Hurun Report Inc., a company based in Shanghai, China.

On the latest Hurun rich list, unveiled at the end of February, he was ranked the 1,735th with 1 billion U.S. dollars worth of fortune. His main business is in the food and beverage sector.

In March 2013, the New York-based Forbes magazine placed Chaudhary Group (CG) President Binod Chaudhary in the 1,342nd position in its 2013 Billionaires List.

According to the Hurun list, a total of 414 billionaires have been added in 2013 as compared to the previous year.

The list includes 481 American billionaires and 358 billionaires from China.
