Coca-Cola plant in Tajikistan to become operational next year
A Coca-Cola plant will be inaugurated in Tajikistan next year, Minister of Industry and New Technologies Shavkat Bobozoda told reporters on Friday.
Turkish Coca-Cola Icecek A.S. has invested 70 million U.S. dollars for the construction of the plant.
"The construction work is going on and as expected, the plant, with 100 million liters in production capacity, will start operation in April 2015, with 12,000 people to be employed," Bobozoda added.
the Istanbul-based Icecek is the sixth-largest independent bottler in the Coca-Cola system and a key vehicle for the Coca-Cola Co. expansion in the Middle East and Central Asia.
