Haikou International Beach Marathon 2013 will kick off on Saturday on the Holiday Beach in Haikou, south China's Hainan Province.

China's first beach marathon is also the largest of the kind in Asia. It has attracted a total of 402 professional and amateur runners as well as nearly 2,000 mini marathon enthusiasts from 21 countries and countries.

KAMPALA, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- Kenyan runners were in good form in the longer races of the 2013 MTN International Marathon which concluded on Sunday morning in the Ugandan capital Kampala.

For the second consecutive year Kenya's Dominic Kimwetich won the men's 42 km race with country mate Gladys Kipsoi triumphing in the ladies category in the 10th Edition of the biggest Marathon in the region.Full story
