World No. 2 golfer Adam Scott birdies first six holes at Australian Open

Australian Adam Scott has birded his first six holes in a great start to the Australian Open Golf Championship in Sydney, local media reported on Thursday.

Starting his opening round on the 10th hole at the Royal Sydney Golf Club on Thursday, Scott made the turn in six-under-par 30 after wowing his gallery with a spectacular display of ball striking.

The world number two's longest birdie putt in his first five holes was just less than two meters,local media reports said.

Scott, who has won the Australian PGA Championship and Australian Masters titles, is bidding to win the Open title to complete a summer triple crown at Royal Sydney.

He also won the World Cup of Golf for Australia with Jason Day on Sunday.
