Slovakia will not have its own hospitality house at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, reported by Hospodarske Noviny daily on Tuesday.

"There will be no Slovak House in Sochi. The price options were unacceptable," said Lubomir Soucek, manager of Communication with Media of Slovakian Olympic Committee.

According to Soucek, organizers are requesting twice the price for spaces, much higher than London Summer Olympics two years earlier.

The National Olympic House is a good opportunity to showcase Slovakia and its business, next to its sporting capabilities. "It is the most effective form of representation,"said economic analyst Jozef Orgonas.

Lubomir Soucek claims that the house at the Olympics, which will start in Sochi on the 7th of February, will not be present, due to lack of sponsor interest.

Companies, claim something different. Multiple sectors would like to present themselves in front of their Russian partners. "Slovakian Olympic Committee, did not supplied no impulse to Slovakian based companies, to even consider any support," mentioned to HN by famous businessman and head of the Union for Heavy Industry of Slovakia, Alexej Beljajev.

He also stated that his company, Tatravagonka Poprad, has extensive business relations with their Russian partners. They would definitely be interested in advertising on this prestigious event.

Slovakian sportsman, in the situation of a medal award, would celebrate in the Czech Olympic House. "If our colleagues from Slovakia, ask for our help, we will happily assist them," confirmed by HN by Jiri Kejval, head of the Czech Olympic Committee.
