Manchester United players Michael Carrick and Danny Welbeck will miss the friendlies against Chile and Germany as they have withdrawn from the England squad on Tuesday due to injury.

The Three Lions will face Chile on Friday evening at Wembley Stadium, before Germany's visit four days later.

All the three teams have qualified for the 2014 World Cup finals. They all use the warm-up to prepare for the tournament in Brazil.

England manager Roy Hodgson will add no additional players to the current 26-man squad.
