Injured Paulinho begins recovery program with Corinthians
Brazil and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho has begun a reconditioning program at former club Corinthians as he recovers from a left ankle injury.
The 25-year-old suffered ligament damage after a challenge by Charlie Adam in Tottenham's 3-0 victory over Stoke last month.
He will spend the next two weeks undergoing treatment at Corinthians' Parque Ecologico training center in Sao Paulo after being given permission to return home by Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood, Gazeta Esportiva reported.
According to Tottenham's medical staff, Spurs' No. 8 is not expected to return to the pitch before the end of the month.
Paulinho, who joined the London club in July, has made 17 Premier League starts this season, scoring twice and providing two assists.
