Klose aims to overtake Ronaldo in World Cup
Lazio striker Miroslav Klose has set his personal target in the upcoming World Cup -- to overtake Ronaldo and become the World Cup's all-time leading goalscorer.
Over the past three World Cup tournaments, the 35-year-old German forward has scored 14 goals, one less than Ronaldo.
The World Cup in Brazil, possibly Kolse's last one, would provide ideal chances for him to strike at least two goals to break Ronaldo's record.
"Those who know me understand that I will be fighting to reach that goal," Klose said.
"With one goal I will catch Ronaldo, but I need two goals to be top myself. I am in a good run of form and I am hoping to get to the World Cup at 100 per cent," he said.
"I am giving everything in training and I will be ready," he added.
