Fresh from her victory in WTA Seoul tournament earlier this month, world number four Agnieszka Radwanska is looking forward to capturing her second China Open title here in Beijing.

The Polish prodigy, who won the tournament here in 2011, has compiled a consistent season this year by winning three WTA events and reaching the semifinals at Wimbledon.

The 24-year-old was drawn into the first half alongside with world number one Serena Williams, a player she never beat in their past six meetings.

"Everybody is playing solid tennis here in Beijing. Pretty much from the first round, we have to face good players, so it's never easy. I didn't expect easy matches here. Definitely I will have to play my best tennis from the first round," said Radwanska at the pre-tournament conference on Saturday.

The Pole is seeded third at the event after Maria Sharapova retired citing injury, and she is very happy with her form. "I go to tournament always trying to play my best tennis, especially here in Asia. I always have good results. At the end of the season, after a lot of tournaments, a lot of matches, I can really still play on the good level."

The world number four has qualified for the year-ending WTA Championship to be held in Istanbul, so she said she won't have much pressure while playing the Premier Mandatory event.

One of the most welcome tennis stars in China, Radwanska also finished runner-up in 2009 losing to Russian player Svetlana Kuznetsova in the final.

"Here is always great to see a lot of fans, even on the practice courts. Always playing in a crowded stadium. Really enjoying playing and looking forward to my first match," said Radwanska, who will be playing the first match against Stefanie Voegele of Switzerland.

China Open main draw competition started on Saturday and will end on Oct. 6. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the China Open.
