Xinjiang International Expo Administration told Urumqi TV that the 3rd China-Eurasia Expo will be held between September 2ndand 7th, 2013. Through hosting the China-Eurasia Economic Development Cooperation Forum and a series of other business exchanges, the Expo hopes to achieve professionalism by assembling a combined effect of globalization, market-orientation, professionalism, and brand marketing.

According to Li Jingyuan, Director-General of Xinjiang International Expo Administration, "one important measure to improve the Expo is to hold a professional event with professional efforts according to professional standards. To do so, we'll increase the exhibition of high-tech products with high added-value, proprietary brands, and intellectual property rights to make it a deserved international exposition."

Covering an area of 89,000sqm with 4,282 exhibits, the 3rdExpo will cover four pavilions of the International and Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan Pavilion, Commodity and Trade Pavilion, Investment Cooperation Pavilion, and Service Trade and High Technology Pavilion. In addition to China-Eurasia Economic Development Cooperation Forum, the Expo will also have other programs including the China - Foreign Culture Week, the Central and South Asia Chamber of Commerce Cooperation Forum, the Overseas Chinese Enterprises in the West Forum and the SCO Food Safety Symposium.

Professional consulting and management companies will be introduced through public biddings for the Expo operation. More than 30 Expo programs have been marketed as of today.

Compared with the previous two sessions, the Expo will highlight investment, cooperation and quality of exhibits and exhibitors. Statistics indicate that the previous two sessions achieved a total turnover of $12 billion dollars and signed domestic contracts worthy of 390 billion yuan.

The Expo also boosts the infrastructure development and growth of related industries. "Catering, tourism, insurance, transport and communication sectors also offer direct or indirect services to the conference and exhibition industry. So, the Expo's direct influential effect will be nine times of the Expo itself," Li said.
