U.S. stocks slipped on Friday after JPMorgan Chase reported bleak fourth-quarter earnings while a possible downgrade on France and some other European countries spurred new concerns over the region's debt crisis.
The blue-chip Dow slipped nearly 0.4 percent at the close while both the broader S&P 500 and the tech-heavy Nasdaq fell about 0.5 percent. |
