Japanese government's move to reinterpret Pacifist Constitution and lift ban on collective self defense right has drawn criticism from international community.
The Washington Post said by allowing for collective self-defense, Japan would be allowed to help its allies vessels under attack on the high sea. But the potential for expanded military involvement also would spark concern in a region that harbours memories of Japan's militarism in the early 20th century.
South Korea's Chosun Ilbo Newspaper said Japan's move is attempted to free up ban on it launching a war and Abe has begun to form its offensive troops and broken its limit on weapons export. Meanwhile, a Russian researcher said the move shows Japan seeks to change self-defence force into full-fledged military. It will change the result of second world war and destroy regional balance.
