Frenchman Valtier wins snowboard cross

Frenchman Pierre Vaultier beat bad weather and keep steady to win the Olympic men's snowboard cross race on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old overcame Russian Nikolay Olyunin for the gold as favorites crashed by the wayside.

Olyunin had to settle for the silver and American Alex Deibold took the bronze.
