Last Updated(Beijing Time):2012-07-26 09:19

The new Egyptian government will include several current ministers besides youth figures, said the appointed Prime Minister Hesham Qandil on Wednesday.

The new government will keep some of the current ministers with great focus on choosing the young personalities who have the ability to represent all sectors of the Egyptian society, official news agency MENA quoted Qandil as saying in a statement.

He noted parties will be a basic source to choose the new ministers, asserting he keeps on studying the personal data of the nominees to determine the best experience for each portfolio, adding that choosing criteria will focus on efficiency and capability in the first place.

He also asserted that he isn't intended to merge any ministries to provide chances for more efforts to improve popular services. But an independent portfolio for facilities, water and sanitation will be established to promote the vital services presented to the citizens.

Acting spokesman of the presidency Yasser Ali, said in another statement to MENA that "it is expected to announce the new cabinet by the middle of next week". He added consultations are still ongoing, and there are no allocations for certain group on the account of another.

Egypt's President Mohamed Morsi appointed the Irrigation Minister Qandil as new Prime Minister on Tuesday and assigned him to form a new cabinet as soon as possible.
