Peruvian Prime Minister Ana Jara said Sunday that she is ready to face a no-confidence vote over the collection of personal information by the country's intelligence agency.
"I am ready, with head high, to face the decision of Congress next Monday," Jara wrote on Twitter.
Jara faced pressure after relevations that the National Intelligence Direction (DINI) collected data of public figures, journalists and private companies in a controversial manner.
She dismissed high-ranking officers of DINI and explained the operations of DINI to Congress. But her efforts failed to quell anger.
