| Indian defense minister to visit Saudi Arabia |

Indian Defense Minister A.K. Antony is to embark on a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia from Feb. 13, highly placed sources said Saturday.
"The Indian Defense Minister will lead a high-level military delegation to Riyadh, which will include the deputy head of the Indian Army and Defense Secretary. He will hold meetings with Saudi Defense Minister Prince Salman-bin-Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, and other political leaders," the sources said.
"Issues on their agenda include cooperation between the two countries in the defense sector such as training exchanges and ship visits," they added.
This will be the first ever visit by an Indian defense minister to the Gulf kingdom which is one of the largest suppliers of oil to India.
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh visited Saudi Arabia last year. |
