Eight houses in Sadao district of Thailand's southern Songkhla province caught fire after a pick-up truck loaded with smuggled petrol collided with an 18-wheel truck Thursday morning.
The pick-up truck was reportedly carrying 2,000 litres of petrol which spread throughout the nearby areas and houses in the wake of the accident. As a result, eight houses, cars and motorcycles on both sides of the road were set fire.
Fire engines took an hour to bring the flames under control.
Initial report said that nobody was hurt. The drivers of both pick-up truck and 18-wheel truck managed to flee. |
