A powerful blast rocked Jalalabad town in Nangarhar province 120 km east of Kabul on Thursday, injuring 12 people, spokesman for the provincial administration Ahmadzia Abdulzai said.
Six of those who received injuries in the blast, according to provincial administration spokesman, are policemen and the remaining are civilians.
The bomb was planted alongside a street and detonated by a remote control, he said.
Meantime, Baz Mohammad Zhirzad, director of the health department in Nangarhar province, when approached by Xinhua, said 18 explosion-related injured men had been taken to hospital in Jalalabad city. |
