6.1-magnitude quake hits east Japan |

An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale jolted east of Japan's Honshu Island at 21:05 p.m. (1205 GMT) on Wednesday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 35.8 degrees north latitude and 141.1 degrees east longitude.
The agency said although there may be slight sea-level changes in coastal regions, this earthquake has caused no damage to Japan. |
