Thailand's Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation warned northeastern and eastern residents about possible summer storms in the next few days, the state-run NNT reported on Thursday.
Residents in both regions were urged to brace for heavy rain, gusty wind and hail while locals in adjacent areas are also asked to prepare for the later arrival of bad weather.
Local people were suggested to seek shelter inside strong buildings and stay away from billboard signs and big trees during the time of summer storm.
Last week, summer storms ravaged northeastern Surin province where nearly 90 households were destroyed and several southern provinces where over 100 households and rubber and palm plantations were damaged. |
