Thailand's Constitution Court on Wednesday decided to dissolve two political parties and banned their executive committee members from politics for failing to comply with the political party law.

The two parties are Puen Kasetakorn Thai (Friends of Thai Farmers) and Siam.

The Election Commission requested the Court to consider party dissolution as the two parties did not submit their operational reports for the year 2009 to the political party registrar as required by the political party law.

Members of the executive committees of the two parties have been also prohibited from setting up or becoming executive members of a new political party for a period of five years.
