The DPRK has warned countries not to intercept its planned rocket launch which is intended to put a satellite into orbit to mark the 100th anniversary of late President Kim Il Sung's birth.

The DPRK says any country that intercepts the satellite or collects its debris will meet immediate, resolute and merciless punishment.

Meanwhile on Friday, DPRK state television released new video of leader Kim Jong Un inspecting military drills and bases in March. It shows Kim Jong Un directing joint military exercises, visiting naval military bases including Panmunjom, which is located in the demilitarised zone near the border with South Korea.
