At least 14 people were killed and 15 others injured in a major road mishap in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh in the wee hours of Friday, a senior police official said.
"The mishap happened when a tractor and a speeding bus collided head on at Bilaspur village in the state's Muzzafarnagar district at 3 a.m. Fourteen people were killed on the spot, the injured have been admitted to a local hospital where the condition of some are said to be serious," he said, on condition of anonymity.
A probe has been ordered into the incident, the official added. |
