One person was killed and 13 others injured in a stampede triggered by overcrowding at a temple in Kanpur of North India on Monday, local TV Channel CNN-IBN said on Tuesday morning.
The people had gathered in the temple celebrate the Budhwa Mangal festival at the Hanuman temple of Panki.
One eyewitness at the site complained of poor crowd control arrangements. The injured are presently being treated at hospital. |
