Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan will hold the next round of negotiations on their border delimitation and demarcation here on Thursday.

The Kyrgyz delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister Abdyrakhman Mamataliev, is reported to have arrived in Tajikistan on Wednesday. The Tajik side will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister Murodali Alimardon.

During the negotiations, the two sides will discuss a wide range of issues related to border delimitation and demarcation.

About a third of the border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan reportedly remains in dispute, with skirmishes seen along the border in recent years.

Since the beginning of the year, the two countries have been working hard through talks to solve their border disputes.
