Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy is expected to visit South Korea to attend the Nuclear Security Summit in March, media reported on Saturday.
Spanish television network RTVE quoted 'executive sources' as confirming that Rajoy is studying the possibility of using his trip to South Korea, his first Asia trip as the prime minister, as a springboard to visit other countries in Asia.
The Nuclear Security Summit is due to be held in Seoul on March 26 and 27 and will bring around 50 international heads of state and international leaders together to discuss the threat of nuclear terrorism.
Rajoy would meet U.S. President Barack Obama for the first time since he was elected as Spanish prime minister on Nov. 20. |
