A man was killed and another was slightly wounded on Thursday afternoon in a street shooting in Marseille, southern France, local media reported.
Two men on scooter opened fire against the 54-old man seating at a sidewalk cafe at 12:45 local time (1045 GMT), according to RTL radio report.
Investigation has been underway to determine the cause of the accident.
In view of rising violence in the region, the local government decided to establish two priority security zones in Marseille and to reinforce police staff with 205 more policemen. |
