British Foreign Secretary William Hague said Saturday that there are narrow but important gaps in the ongoing Geneva nuclear talks between six world powers and Iran.
"We're not here because things are necessarily finished. There are narrow gaps, but they are important gaps," Hague said in a statement released on the government website.
"It's very important that any agreement be thorough, detailed, and comprehensive, and is a deal in which we can all have confidence," he said.
The top diplomats from China, the United States, Russia, Britain, France and Germany gathered in Geneva on Saturday to join the ongoing international talks on the Iranian nuclear issue.
The talks, scheduled to conclude on Friday, have extend into an unscheduled fourth day on Saturday.
