Five people were injured in a crossfire incident here on Thursday, according to local press report.

The street fight between two groups people in the early hours of Thursday escalated into crossfire, leaving five injured. The people involved in the fight fled the scene and four of the injured went to the hospital afterwards.

Investigation on the causes of the fight is still going on. It is the second time that a gunshot incident has occurred in Frankfurt, which, according to the police, had the highest crime rate in Germany in 2013.
