35,000 displaced Syrians receiving aid in Lebanon: UN
Last Updated(Beijing Time):2012-08-06 09:05

More than 35,000 displaced Syrians are receiving aid in Lebanon from the Lebanese government and other nongovernmental agencies, the United Nations Refugee Agency said Sunday.

The agency said in its weekly report that thousands of Syrians arrived in Lebanon in the past few weeks but were not registered officially with the agency.

It added that 12 injured were sent last week to Lebanon's hospitals.

The report also said some Syrians and Palestinians who fled from the Syrian capital Damascus have returned home, most of them complaining about the high cost of living and difficulties in finding accommodation in Lebanon.
