Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said Tuesday that there is no proof for the alleged military dimension of Iran's nuclear program.

Mehmanparast made the remarks in his weekly press briefing here.

Referring to the recent resolution of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) about Iran's controversial nuclear program, he said that so far there has been no sign and no proof for the allegations of some countries that there might be military aspects in Iran's nuclear program.

Such allegations have never been approved, said the Iranian spokesman.

There has been readiness by Iranians to cooperate with the IAEA in full, he said, adding that the cooperation has been continued in its best and the IAEA has had the most inspections from Iran's nuclear establishments.

Iran has announced its readiness to respond to the IAEA's concerns and ambiguities within a framework, said Mehmanparast.

Also, Iran's rights to peaceful use of nuclear technology, including the enrichment activities, should be respected, he maintained.

The governing board of the IAEA approved a resolution on Thursday, expressing "serious concern" over Iran's disputed nuclear program.

The IAEA resolution urged Iran to comply fully with all of its obligations under the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council "without delay," including the application of the modified Code 3.1 and the implementation and prompt entry into force of the Additional Protocol.

The resolution said Iran "continues to defy the requirements and obligations" contained in the relevant IAEA Board of Governors and UN Security Council Resolutions, including the continuing and expanding uranium enrichment activities, in particular at the Fordow fuel enrichment plant.

It said as Iran is not providing the necessary cooperation, the IAEA is unable to provide evidence that all nuclear material in Iran is in peaceful activities.

The country is requested to provide the access for the IAEA to relevant sites.

The West suspects Iran of attempting to produce a nuclear warhead under cover of its nuclear program, while Iran says its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.
