ONLY THREATS

However, political analysts in the Gaza Strip believe that the Israeli threats to wage another large war on Gaza militants show that Israel's national security is little bit retreating, "but sometimes threats to carry another destructive war are better than launching actual war and it achieves more fruitful results."

Akram Atallah, political analyst from Gaza who is specialized in Israeli affairs, told Xinhua that the regional and international situation is not ready for a large-scale Israeli war on Gaza, adding that "The recent Israeli threats may oblige Hamas rule in Gaza to rein on militants in order to avoid a war with Israel."

Atallah agreed that Israel does not want to fight Egypt and lose its friendship and peace treaties with Cairo. He said Egypt is a major player in the Israeli conceptions, adding that "Israel doesn't want to pay a heavy price and lose Egypt only for cracking on Gaza militants."

Hani Habib, another political analyst from Gaza, agreed with Atallah on the point that Israel will not wage another war on the Gaza Strip. Habib told Xinhua that the Gaza Strip "is not representing any real danger on Israel, as the balance of powers between Israel and the militants hasn't changed yet."

"I also believe that Israel is keen not to embarrass the new leadership in Egypt which is still sticking to the peace treaties signed with Israel, therefore I believe that Israel would keep the situation as it is and I rule out that there is an Israeli large- scale operation soon," said Habib.
