Israel continued airstrikes in the Gaza Strip through Sunday morning, killing a third Palestinian.
Yasser Al-Attal, 24, a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, was killed Sunday morning when he was traveling on a motorbike in the south of the coastal enclave.
Another member of the group was wounded in the attack.
Israel said the raid successfully hit the militants as they were gearing to fire a rocket into Israeli territories.
Cross-border violence resumed Saturday evening when an Israeli drone struck a motorbike in northern Gaza, killing a senior militant and his assistant.
The slain was identified as Hisham al-Saidani, leader of the Tawheed and Jihad, a radical Islamic group affiliated with the Global Jihad organization.
Israel said al-Saidani's group was responsible for firing a Grad rocket into western Negev Friday. The rocket fell in the yard of a house and caused slight damage. |
