Spanish shares closed flat on Wednesday, with the benchmark index Ibex-35 up 0.12 percent or 10.10 points, to end at 8,550 points.

A total of 18 of the selected 35 large companies rose in the day.

Renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa advanced 3.05 percent, being the top gainer of the day. Media company Mediaset rose 1.79 percent and gas natural infrastructure company Enagas went up 1.78 percent.

Airline group IAG lost 3.41 percent, followed by casing company Viscofan and steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal that went down 2.87 percent and 2.82 percent respectively. Enditem
