German pair clinches No. 1 in ISU GP Finals
German pair Aliona Savchenko/Robin Szolkowy won the pair's title in the International Skating Union Grand Prix Finals after contests of pair's free skating on Saturday.
The Germans were placed the first in the free skating with 147.57 points and claimed the pair's title with a total of 227.03 points that combined their performances of free skating and short program on Friday.
Russian pair Tatiana Volosozhar/Maxim Trankov followed the German pair with 223.83 points. They ranked the first after Friday's short program but placed the second in the free skating.
Two Chinese pairs, Pang Qing/Tong Jian and Peng Cheng/ Zhang Hao, finished the third and fourth with 213.98 and 197.37 points respectively.
The Last two pairs were from Canada.
